1) Which types of Traineeships offers AIESEC Karlsruhe?

  • Management Traineeship

Are companies and management your liking? Prove yourself in the real world. The management traineeships are practices in the finances, marketing, projectmanagement, accounting and controlling areas. (economy sciences, management)

  • Technical Traineeship

Turns your world around the computers? Then you could enjoy this practice. It's about a traineeship in the information technologies area. You'll take part of different IT projects. (Information technologies, informatics)

  • Development Traineeship

Do you have interest in social work and you want to change the world? The development traineeship it's your option. You'll make a practice in a non-profit organization in a developing country. (Social sciences, psychology, economy, education, geography, etc.)

2) How long is the period of time of the practice?

The practice period goes from 8 to 78 weeks. We recommend you to make at least 3 months of practice to get a complete idea of the culture and the particularities of the host country.

3) Are the practices salaried?

All the AIESEC's practices are salaried; the exception is the "development traineeship", because the employers are usually non-profit organizations.

4) Do I have to pay something?

You have to pay to take part of the AIESEC's traineeship program:

  • 35€ to enter in our database (maintenance of the database)
  • 60€ for the preparation seminar (Weekend with workshops. Alimentation and accommodation included)
  • 65€ Administration costs (Telephone, office material, etc.)
  • 60€ Post traineeship seminar (Weekend with workshops. Alimentation and accommodation included)
  • 30€ Deposit (You become it back once you complete the program and write a inform about the traineeship)

Total: 220€, if you you complete the program and write the traineeship's inform)

5) Visa & home in Karlsruhe

You'll have a tutor who will help you to find a home and who will take care of the visa formalities.

6) I arrived in Karlsruhe, and then...?

It will be AIESEC's agent at the airport or train station waiting for you arrival. We'll prepare different social and cultural activities for you. And we'll help you if you have any problems with your company.

7) What should I consider before going to Karlsruhe?

  • You'll need enough money to live for the first month of your traineeship
  • References from your home bank
  • Appropriate clothing to suit the climate during your stay
  • Appropriate clothes for work
  • Any textbooks which may be helpful for your new job
  • Material for presenting your country
  • German Dictionary (if non-native)
